Quilia sends case notifications to the people who are on the case. If a colleague is not on a case, they will not receive the client activity summary or session notifications for it, whatever their personal notification settings say.
Use these steps when someone needs to follow a specific matter. To put someone on your whole caseload instead, see Adding a Team Member to Every Imported Case.
Add someone to a case
- Open the case.
- In the Case Details panel, click Edit.
- In the Edit case details dialog, click Add case member...
- Search for your colleague by name and select them.
- Save.
Only people who are already members of your firm in Quilia appear in this list. If someone is missing, invite them first under Settings > Team, then come back to the case.
Remove someone from a case
Open the same Edit case details dialog and remove them from the case members list. They stop receiving notifications for that case straight away.
What they will receive
Once someone is on a case they receive the same case emails as any other case member, subject to their own preferences under Settings > Notifications. That includes the client activity summary and client session notifications.
If they are still not getting email
Check three things, in this order:
- Their account is active under Settings > Team. Deactivated members are excluded from all case email.
- They have not muted notifications for that particular case.
- Their notification preferences under Settings > Notifications have not been switched off.
Adding the same person to many cases
Adding people case by case is fine for a handful of matters. If you find yourself repeating it, that is a sign the person should be on everything instead. See Adding a Team Member to Every Imported Case, which is set once and applies to future cases automatically.
