What is Torn Meniscus?
A tear in the cartilage cushion between the thigh bone and shin bone in the knee, commonly caused by twisting or rotating the knee with force.
Understanding Torn Meniscus
The meniscus absorbs shock and stabilizes the knee. Tears cause pain, swelling, stiffness, and difficulty straightening the knee. Treatment depends on severity and may include physical therapy, injections, or arthroscopic surgery.
