First impressions matter. When a new client joins the Quilia app, an automated welcome message sets the tone for your entire attorney-client relationship. This guide shows you how to create a personalized, professional welcome message that makes clients feel valued from day one.

What is a Welcome Message?

The Welcome Message is an automated message that is sent to your clients when they are invited and successfully join the Quilia app. It serves as a warm greeting and helps clients get oriented with the tools and resources available to them.

This automated touchpoint:

  • Welcomes clients immediately without requiring manual action
  • Introduces clients to the app's features and how to use them
  • Sets expectations for communication throughout their case
  • Can be personalized with variables like the client's name

Accessing Welcome Message Settings

To configure your Welcome Message:

  1. Navigate to Messages in the left sidebar
  2. Click "Compose" in the top right
  3. Select "Welcome Message" from the compose options

Configuring Your Welcome Message

The Welcome Message editor includes several key components:

Composing a message
Create and send messages to your clients

Enable Toggle

Use the Enable toggle in the top right to turn the welcome message on or off. When disabled, new clients won't receive an automatic welcome message.

Subject Line

Enter a clear, welcoming subject line. Example: "Welcome to [Your Firm Name]!" or "Your Case Journey Starts Here".

Message Body

Use the rich text editor to craft your welcome message. You can include:

  • Bold, italic, and other text formatting
  • Headings and subheadings
  • Bulleted and numbered lists
  • Images and attachments

Personalization Variables

Click the "Variables" button to insert dynamic content that personalizes each message. Available variables include:

  • Client's first name - Personalize the greeting
  • Attorney name - Sign the message from the assigned attorney
  • Firm name - Reference your firm throughout the message

Saving Your Welcome Message

Once you've crafted your perfect welcome message:

  1. Review your message for any typos or errors
  2. Make sure the Enable toggle is turned on
  3. Click the "Save" button

Your welcome message will now be sent automatically to every new client who joins the app!
