About Quilia Frequently Asked Questions

General questions about Quilia, our mission, pricing, and how we help personal injury law firms improve client outcomes.

10 questions

What if my clients aren't tech-savvy?

Almost our only limitation is whether or not the client has a smartphone. If they can use the Facebook app, they can use Quilia. We designed it for simplicity and high engagement—no passwords or complicated steps.

Will clients actually use the app?

Yes. About 85% of invited clients use Quilia. Engagement stays high thanks to smart reminders and an interface that just makes sense.

How is the pricing structured?

We offer simple tiered pricing based on your firm's average number of open cases. The more cases you handle, the better the per-case rate. No surprise fees, no complex calculations - just straightforward pricing that scales with your practice.

Why did you change the name from Record to Quilia?

The name "Record" caused confusion. Many people assumed we were a medical record retrieval company, which is common in the personal injury industry. We needed a name that better reflected what we do and stood apart.

Where does the name Quilia come from?

Quilia is derived from the word quill—a nod to documenting and recording information, the way it used to be done with a feather quill. Our platform modernizes that same idea of capturing everything important to a case, but with updated tech and ease. The feather in our logo is a tribute to that origin.

Why does Quilia have only one "L"?

We intentionally used one "L" to keep the name simple and avoid awkward pronunciations, especially in Spanish. With two L's, the pronunciation would sound odd. One "L" keeps it clean and easy.

Do you own other versions of the name?

Yes. We own Quilia.com as well as Quillia.com, so no matter how someone searches, they'll find us.

When was Quilia founded?

Quilia was founded in 2022.

Who founded Quilia?

Quilia was started by Kenny Eliason and Dean Tingey, Esq. Kenny is the CEO and brings deep experience in legal operations, tech, and marketing, while Dean contributes his background as a personal injury attorney and finance strategist.

What makes Quilia different?

Unlike portals that just display case data, Quilia puts the client at the center. Clients can track treatment, upload documents, and see case updates in real time. Attorneys get cleaner case files, more compliant clients, and stronger settlements — without adding staff.
