Keeping track of your insurance policies is an important part of building your case. The Quilia app makes it easy to record your health insurance, auto insurance, and other relevant policies. This guide shows you exactly where to find this feature and how to add your insurance information.
Why Insurance Information Matters
Your legal team needs accurate insurance records to:
- Identify all potential sources of recovery for your case
- Ensure claims are filed correctly and promptly
- Coordinate benefits between multiple insurance providers
- Document coverage for medical expenses, vehicle repairs, and other damages
How to Navigate to Insurance
Follow these simple steps to find and add your insurance information:
Step 1: Open the Case Tab
From anywhere in the app, tap the Case tab in the bottom navigation bar. It's the feather/quill icon in the center of the navigation.
Step 2: Tap Insurance

On the Case screen, you'll see a list of options. Tap the Insurance button - it has a pink ID card icon.
Step 3: View Your Insurance List

You'll now see a list of any insurance policies you've already added. If this is your first time, you'll see a message prompting you to add your first policy.
Adding a New Insurance Policy

To add a new insurance policy:
- Tap the Add Insurance button at the bottom of the screen
- Fill in the required fields:
- Company - The name of your insurance provider (e.g., Blue Cross, Geico, State Farm)
- Insurance Type - Select from options like Health, First Party Car, Other Party Car, and more
- Policy Number - Your policy identification number
- Optionally add:
- Claim Number - If you've already filed a claim
- Group Number - For employer-sponsored health insurance
- Policy Owner - If the policy is under someone else's name
- Tap Upload Image to add photos of your insurance card
- Tap Save when finished
Insurance Types Explained
The app supports many insurance types to cover different case needs:
- Health - Your medical/health insurance coverage
- First Party Car - Your own auto insurance policy
- Other Party Car - The other driver's auto insurance (for accident cases)
- Medicare/Medicaid - Government health programs
- Homeowner - Home insurance policies
- Umbrella - Excess liability coverage
- Disability - Disability insurance
- Other - Any other relevant insurance
Tips for Adding Insurance
- Add all relevant policies - Include both your insurance and any other party's insurance involved in your case
- Keep policy numbers handy - Have your insurance cards ready when entering information
- Upload images - Taking photos of your insurance cards ensures you have a backup of important details
- Update when needed - If your coverage changes, remember to update your information in the app
