Documents sync automatically to your Dropbox
How Does Quilia's Dropbox Sync Work?
When clients upload documents through Quilia—photos, medical records, insurance documents, or anything else—those files are automatically synced to your connected Dropbox account. No manual downloads, no extra steps.
This dual-write model means your documents exist in two places: securely in Quilia for case management, and in Dropbox for your existing file workflows. Access your client documents from anywhere using Dropbox's familiar interface.
The Dropbox integration works alongside your CMS integration with Clio, Filevine, or MyCase. Case data flows to your case management system while documents sync to Dropbox—giving you the best of both worlds.

Dropbox Integration FAQs
Common questions about using Quilia with Dropbox
How does Dropbox sync work with Quilia?
When clients upload documents through Quilia, those files are automatically synced to your connected Dropbox account. This happens in real-time, so your Dropbox always has the latest client documents without any manual work from your team.
Are my documents still stored in Quilia if I connect Dropbox?
Yes. Quilia uses a dual-write model, meaning documents are stored in both Quilia and Dropbox simultaneously. This gives you redundancy and flexibility—access files from your case management workflow in Quilia or through Dropbox's familiar interface.
Can I use both a CMS integration and Dropbox?
Absolutely. The Dropbox integration works alongside your CMS integration. Case data flows to your case management system (Clio, Filevine, etc.) while documents sync to Dropbox. You get the best of both worlds.
How are documents organized in Dropbox?
Documents are organized by case in your Dropbox, making it easy to find what you need. Each case gets its own folder, and documents are sorted appropriately within. You can configure the folder structure to match your firm's preferences.
Is the Dropbox integration secure?
Yes. All data transmission between Quilia and Dropbox is encrypted. We use Dropbox official API with OAuth authentication, so your credentials are never stored by Quilia. Documents are protected with the same enterprise-grade security Dropbox provides to its business customers.
Can I share Dropbox folders with my team?
Yes. Once documents sync to Dropbox, you can use Dropbox's built-in sharing features to give team members access to specific case folders. This makes collaboration easy using tools your team already knows.
What cloud storage integrations does Quilia support?
Quilia currently supports Dropbox for cloud storage sync. Google Drive and OneDrive integrations are coming soon. These storage integrations work alongside your CMS integration to give you complete control over where your documents live.
Do I need a cloud storage integration?
No, cloud storage integrations are optional. Documents uploaded through Quilia are always stored securely in Quilia itself and synced to your CMS. The cloud storage integration is for firms who want additional backup or prefer accessing documents through their existing cloud storage workflow.
Can I use multiple cloud storage providers?
Currently, you can connect one cloud storage provider at a time. We recommend choosing the provider your firm already uses for the smoothest experience.
What happens if my cloud storage is full?
If your cloud storage reaches its limit, Quilia will notify you and documents will continue to be stored in Quilia itself. You won't lose any files—they just won't sync to cloud storage until you free up space or upgrade your storage plan.
